Dog Love Art Exhibition 2025
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Dog Love Art Exhibition, at the Gadsden Art Museum, to celebrate bond between humans and animals, with a special focus on dogs. This exhibition will be held from February 7th to March 26th, 2025, and will feature a stunning collection of art pieces that explore this unique connection.
The artists participating in the exhibition have been hand-picked for their exceptional talent and ability to capture the essence of this beautiful relationship. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media and digital art, the exhibition will showcase a wide various and mediums.
The Dog Love Foundation Inc. is the driving force behind this exhibition. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization mission is to change the way animals are viewed in our community and increase awareness about their importance. Our efforts have been making a significant difference in our community, and we are proud to support this cause.
We invite you to join us for this incredible event, where you will have the opportunity to experience the beauty and power of the human-animal bond through the eyes of some of the most talented artists of our time.

Eligibilty
- Work must be by a living artist.
- Work must have been completed within the last five (5) years.
- Work submitted in all categories must be original in both concept and design.
- Optional to have your Artwork for Sale (Art Museum commission is 25%)
- The artist must be at least 18 years old.
- The Art Committee retains the right to refuse work that, in its judgment, does not meet the eligibility requirements. Entry fees will be forfeited in such instances.friends.

Categories
Up to THREE pieces of artwork may be submitted across the following three categories.
FRAMED
- Framed or with finished edges.
- Unframed Gallery Wrapped must be at least 1 inch thick with painted edges.
- Drawing, watercolor, oil, acrylic, collage, mixed media, woodcut, etching, photography, and other media are not excluded (see below).
- Maximum size is 50” on the longest side including the frame.
- Must be wired and ready to hang. Sawtooth not be accepted?
SCULPTURE
- One freestanding submission.
- Must not require electrical support or wall hanging.
- Weight limit: 250 lbs.
- If accepted, the artist must provide a sculpture stand if necessary for display.
- The artist must handle delivery and pickup of submission. If assistance is needed, please arrange to bring someone with you. Show volunteers will not be available or permitted to assist.
QUILTS
- Maximum size is 50”
HANGING OF QUILTS
- A hanging sleeve of 10cm (4 inches) must be attached to the back of the entry piece (through which a wooden batten will be placed to hang your quilt). Failure to provide this sleeve may mean that the quilt cannot be displayed. A sleeve will not be required if the quilt features an integral hanging device or if your piece is double-sided.
- 4.4 Miniatures must have a 5cm (2 inch) sleeve attached to the back of the quilt unless it features an integral hanging device.
MEDIA NOT ACCEPTED IN ANY CATEGORY
Submissions of the following types of media will not be accepted.
- Computer-generated digital works
- Crafts
Works outside the stated size requirements and/or fragile, wet, or improperly framed or mounted work also will not be accepted. Such works will not be accepted when dropped off for jurying.
Awards
Juried - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Ribbons, and Honorable Mention.
People’s Choice Award - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Ribbons, and Honorable Mention.
Winners will be listed on the Dog Love Art Show Website as well as the Gadsden Museum of Arts website.
Insurance of Work
Insurance does not provide coverage for items during transit for submission.
